The National Kidney Foundation (NKF) will host its 33rd Annual Kidney Ball, Saturday, November 16, 2013 at the Omni Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C. Chair for this year’s event will be General Al Edmonds from Logistics Applications.

The Kidney Ball is the largest black-tie fundraiser for the National Kidney Foundation. The D.C. area has the highest prevalence of kidney disease in the U.S., with more than 700,000 affected, nearly 6,000 on dialysis, and more than 1,500 waiting for a life-saving kidney transplant.

Last year’s event raised more than $800,000 for research, patient services, public and professional education, and organ donation awareness. Sponsors for this year’s event include Ronald D. Paul Companies, IBM and Sutherland Media Productions. WashingtonExec will serve as a Media Sponsor.
