WashingtonExec hosted its first networking happy hour series  for summer of 2013 at the Maggiano’s in Tysons Corner last month for those in industry, government and nonprofit sectors.

MicroPact, a Herndon-based BPM software supplier, sponsored the invite-only event for small, emerging and large federal contractors. Despite the rising temperatures and summer vacation schedules, the gathering brought about forty guests from the local business community.

MicroPact Marketing Vice President Bob Ragsdale said he thought the event was a success.

“The Government Contracting Happy Hour was a superb event,” Ragsdale said. “It gave us the opportunity to network in an informal setting and to better explore ways that we could work with other members of the WashingtonExec community.”

The casual happy hour connected executives of consequence in order to foster partnerships among attendees.

Attendees included members of WashingtonExec’s Mobility Council, Big Data Council, Leadership Council, Intel Council, MARCOM Committee and the Federal Business Council.
