    WashingtonExec E-Magazine: News You Need to Know

    Mark Gerencser, EVP, Booz Allen Hamilton

    This week ended with the news that Mark Gerencser, Executive Vice President of Booz Allen Hamilton, is set to retire June 30th. After 31 years of leadership and six terms on the firm’s Board of Directors, Gerencser is leaving the company where he started his career. For more on the story, click here.

    Other executive moves this week include Larry Prior joining CSC as Vice President and General Manager of the firm’s Defense and Intelligence Groups. Also, General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems (GD AIS) recently appointed Thomas W. Kirchmaier President of the firm’s Advanced Information Systems. He succeeds Lewis F. Von Thaer, who resigned in April.

    The latest in our Summer Reading List series includes Karen Trowbridge of Trowbridge & Trowbridge. Her summer reading list includes leadership books and a fiction novel.

    In other news, the 12th Annual Human Resources Leadership Awards will be held on Tuesday, June 11, 2013 at the Crystal Gateway Marriott in Arlington, Va. The awards promote and advance excellence in the HR profession in the greater Washington, D.C. area. Don’t forget about the Young AFCEA Bethesda chapter hosting the 9th Annual Charity Golf Tournament, Friday, June 28, 2013 at the Golf Club at Lansdowne in Lansdowne, Va. The funds raised from the tournament will support U.S. service members.

    In this week’s M&A activity, Information Innovators Inc. (Triple-i) announced its acquisition of GoldBot Consulting Inc. The acquisition is intended to strengthen and expand Triple-i’s solutions portfolio and IT offerings to its Federal Government customers.
