PAE has today appointed Paul M. Cofoni as Executive Chairman of its Board of Directors. Cofoni will focus on expanding the firm’s current portfolio and guiding the company’s growth strategy.

“I am excited and honored to join the team that will build PAE into an industry-leading provider of mission services to the U.S. government,” said Cofoni. “The work that PAE employees perform is critical to our customers’ missions and important to me personally, since it supports the security of our nation and helps to enable U.S. foreign policy objectives.”

Prior to his current role, Cofoni served as President and CEO of CACI International, Inc. He has also served as President of the Federal Sector of CSC and is credited with this segment’s growth from $2.7 billion in revenue to over $5 billion in less than five years. Cofoni spent 17 years with General Dynamics in various technical and management positions and served on active duty as a U.S. Army Officer for four years from 1970 to 1974.

Cofoni has about 30 years of experience in the government services industry. In 2012, he was selected as the Government Computer News IT Executive of the Year. Prior to that, he was named the Executive of the Year by the Greater Washington Government Contractor Awards in 2011.

Cofoni served as Chairman of the Professional Services Council (PSC) and was also Chairman of the Board of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) International.
