CALIBRE Systems, Inc. recently announced that its President and CEO  Joseph A. Martore, was named a finalist for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year2013 Award. The awards recognize high-growth entrepreneurs who demonstrate excellence and extraordinary success in such areas including innovation, financial performance, and personal commitment to their businesses and communities.

Finalists were selected from nearly 80 nominations by a panel of independent judges. Winners will be announced at a special gala event on Thursday, June 20 at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner.

“Mr. Martore’s vision and entrepreneurial spirit have transformed our company by developing a sense of entrepreneurship in our employee-owners,” said LTG Thomas Carney, Board chairman at CALIBRE. “His dedication to our customers and our employees helps propel CALIBRE’s success.”

The firm’s sales and revenue grew over 34 percent in the last four years, while its share value increased over 70 percent. We interviewed Martore, 2012 GovCon Contractor of the Year Award Winner ($75 to $300 million division), about his vision for CALIBRE.
