    Tony Smeraglinolo, CEO of Engility

Engility Holdings recently announced its plans to hire about 100 new employees as well as expand its office space from 23,000 square feet to more than 41,000 square feet. It’s current 150 employees provide software support and IT solutions under the Navy’s SPAWAR Atlantic programs.

“Through our work with SPAWAR Atlantic, Engility and its legacy companies has been a reliable partner to the U.S. Navy and its customers for more than two decades,” Engility President and CEO Tony Smeraglinolo said. “We have great people and as our work has grown, we find ourselves needing more men and women who can help us ensure mission success. Along with expanding our Charleston-based workforce, we also plan to nearly double our current office area.”

Smeraglinolo said the company will immediately hire business analysts, software developers, Oracle E-Business suite experts, information assurance personnel and engineers who will support development, integration, installation and testing of large scale cloud based software systems.

“Charleston is known as Silicon Harbor in part because of the technology-related work that is being done to support the U.S. Navy and numerous Federal agencies,” said Smeraglinolo. “We are proud to be part of the community.”
