Amidst talk of the fiscal cliff and an election under our belts, it was a busy evening for WashingtonExec as we hosted our sixth invitation-only social event in Tysons Corner last night. About 80 executives in federal contracting attended to mingle and network with new faces, past employees, previous bosses, lost connections, as well as current teaming partners and competitors.
“I was thrilled to have QinetiQ NA host a WashingtonExec event for government contracting leaders. I always find that WashingtonExec as an organization attracts the most interesting and provocative thought-leaders in our industry,” said Suzan Zimmerman, Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development at QinetiQ North America.
The mission of these events is to connect government contracting executives of consequence through targeted and trusted forums. This is a one-of-a-kind event, with attendees arriving right on time and staying late, and even some curious faces stopping by to ask what was going on, and how they could get involved for future events.
“The WashingtonExec networking sessions present a great opportunity to have quick “catch-up” sessions with multiple contacts from a broad range of companies in an enjoyable social environment–it’s a worthwhile use of time with a solid ROI,” Peter LaMontange, CEO of Novetta Solutions, told WashingtonExec.
Attendees included members of WashingtonExec‘s Mobility Council, Big Data Council, Leadership Council, MARCOM Committee, and Federal Business Council. Last night, WashingtonExec launched a VP/Director of Human Capital and High-Potential Group. The goal is to allow the VP of HR and one hand-selected high potential to build a peer network to expand their functional experience and challenge new ways of doing business.
Suzan Zimmerman, Senior Vice President of Corporate Business Development at QinetiQ North America, sponsored the event.
