The Choral Arts Society Winter Gala, “In the Moon of Wintertime” is rapidly approaching, and Nick and Deborah Smith are the latest Society supports to host a pre-gala reception. Nick Smith, a Choral Arts Board member, held the event along with his wife on Thursday, November 8th, bringing together those committed to the Choral Arts Holiday Concert and Gala.
Guests included Allie O’Brien, representing Season Sponsor Wine & Spirits Wholesalers of America, Wes King and Pamela Johnson representing PE Systems, Inc., a Season Partner, and Choral Arts supporters Diane and Peter Schaefer, Cinnie and Pat Fehr, and Fran and Gant Redmon among others.
Gala Auction Co-Chairs Mary Shaffran and Sarah Vassiliou attended, and furs by L&D Events were available as a pre-auction item, with two purchased. Mr. Smith also spoke of items for the Gala Auction, including two tickets to the Canadian Embassy’s inauguration ball and a Scotch tasting from Scott Tucker’s private collection.
And to add to the festivity, Choral Arts Artistic Director Scott Tucker led a Christmas sing-along that featured “I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus,” “White Christmas,” and “Have Yourself a Merry Little Christmas.”
