Alion Science and Technology has won a $63M competitive award on the Software, Networks, Information, Modeling and Simulation (SNIM) indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity contract. A global engineering, R&D, IT and operational solutions company, Alion’s award will make it so it can continue its support at Navy Warfare Development Command (NWDC), the period of performance runs through September 27, 2015.

“Under this contract, Alion’s technical and subject matter experts will continue their support and commitment toward NWDC’s goal of providing realistic training of Naval forces through FST events,” said Terri Spoonhour, Alion Senior Vice President and Manager of the Distributed Simulation Group. “We are helping to create and expand our maritime forces’ capabilities to conduct tactical through operational level synthetic events that replicate actual global scenarios.”

Alion has been providing M&S technical support at NWDC in software development, systems integration, analysis, and event support through Joint Semi-Automated Forces, Joint Simulation Bus, and various C4I systems for many years.
