Manish Agarwal, President of Federal Services at Attain, LLC, has been selected as a Commissioner on the TechAmerica Foundation Big Data Commission (BDC).

The BDC was formed to provide guidance to the government’s policy and decision makers by answering questions such as “How is Big Data defined?” and “How do you use Big Data to make intelligent decisions?”

“As the volume of data generated by the government continues to multiply, the ability to harness the power of ‘big data’ technologies is critical to bolstering society’s efforts to cure disease, ensure national security, and improve the quality of life for citizens,” said Agarwal.

Agarwal will join Prem Jadhwani of GTSI on the commission.

“As co-leader of TechAmerica’s BDC workgroup on defining big data, we are working to lay the foundation for understanding the paradigm shift in government processes and policies that must occur to enable our Federal agencies to capture and transform immense amounts of data into useful, game changing information,” said Agarwal.

Phil Agee, Senior Manager, Attain Federal Services, will serve as Agarwal’s deputy commissioner.

Attain was recently awarded a second AESIP task order contract.
