Microsoft Federal has hired Leigh Madden, a U.S. military veteran, as U.S. Air Force Senior Director.

Madden will oversee Microsoft’s Air Force Account Team Unit and will help the branch with cloud and mobile computing initiatives.

“Defense agencies are increasingly exploring new technology options, for example working more closely with the Defense Information Security Agency (DISA), which is increasingly providing shared services across Department of Defense (DoD). All these factors have created very dynamic marketplace that the Air Force must navigate,” said Madden.

Prior to joining Microsoft, Madden served as managing director at the Rappahannock Companies.
