Deltek, announced last week that it was named a 2012 Helios Apollo Awards finalist. The company is one of six finalists in the Pente category that recognizes top performers among the region’s largest employers.

“This year’s finalists stand out as the D.C. region’s best in executing impactful human capital management programs,” said Kathy Albarado, president and CEO, Helios. “We congratulate Deltek on being named a finalist and look forward to coming together in May to celebrate all the finalists.”

Holly Kortright, SVP of Human Resources at Deltek, was thrilled to hear of the selection, saying, “Our employees are the best in the business and play a critical role making our customers successful. We have aggressive goals to expand globally and strengthen our market leadership position, and to do that, we need to continue to attract, motivate and retain the best talent in order to constantly delight our customers at every turn. At Deltek, what sets us apart is our dynamic culture and our play-to-win attitude. Our employees are working together and driving our business to new heights like never before.”

Deltek was selected as a finalist based on several criteria including effectiveness of the employee on-boarding process, opportunities for mentoring, innovative programs or opportunities to develop leadership skills through charitable community involvement and the impact of these programs on company performance.

Helios will honor the finalists and announce the winners at the Apollo Awards breakfast ceremony on Wednesday, May 30th, 2012 at the McLean Hilton in McLean, VA.
