John Bordwine’s Advice To His Kids: “Maintain Your Focus”

WashingtonExec asked the simple question to top area executives:

“If you could give your kids only three pieces of advice, what would they be?”

Today’s critical advice comes from John Bordwine, CTO of Symantec’s U.S. Public Sector.

    1.  Maintain your focus toward the moment you are currently in. Don’t try to multi-task to the point that you can’t meet your expectations of what you need to accomplish now.

    2. Always remember that family must come first. Work is important but not the most important part of your life.

    3. Always be honest to yourself as well as those around you. If you are completely honest to yourself, you will find it much easier to deal with whatever life brings your way.
