    New WashingtonExec Series

WashingtonExec asked the simple question to top area executives:

“If you could give your kids only three pieces of advice, what would they be?”

Our first participant is Dennis Stolkey, Senior Vice President of the Americas for HP Enterprise Services.

    Dennis Stolkey:

    1.      Be proud of whatever career choice you make, do it well, and enjoy it.

    2.      Treat all people with dignity and caring. Everyone is important.

    3.      Some people during your lifetime will attempt to influence you to start to sacrifice your values.  Moving an inch to the wrong side makes it easier to move another inch and another and another.  Over time you will be on the wrong side of what is right and it will be hard for you to know it because all you did was move one more inch to the wrong side.
