Today, SRA International, Inc announced the appointment of Deborah Alderson as Executive Vice President of Strategic Development, reporting to SRA President and CEO Dr. William L. Ballhaus.

In this new role, Alderson will provide guidance on penetrating new markets and developing large, strategic customer accounts while working across the company’s business Groups and Growth organization to support the development and implementation of its corporate strategy.

Ballhaus said, “We are delighted to have Deb as a member of the SRA team. Deb has spent her entire career in the government services industry, and will be a strong asset to SRA as we grow our footprint across the government sector.”

Alderson brings more than 25 years of experience in the government services business. She has led large organizations focused on technical services, logistics, C4I, systems engineering and integration in support of federal government customers, including the Department of Homeland Security and all branches of the Armed Forces.

“I have long admired SRA for its enduring commitment to their customers and employees,” said Alderson.

Alderson holds bachelor’s and master’s degrees in science from Virginia Polytechnic Institute of Technology. She is on the Board of Directors for AFCEA, and is active in the Association of the U.S. Army (AUSA), the Air Force Association and the National Defense Industrial Association (NDIA). She has been recognized in the industry as a Washington Post Top 25 Female Executive and as a 2011 Federal 100 Award winner.
