Today, Sage Communications announced it was selected as the marketing communications agency of record for the National Cherry Blossom Festival 2012. The Centennial Celebration lasts from March 20th to April 27, 2012, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the gift of cherry blossom trees from Tokyo to Washington, D.C.

Sage will produce the creative development of the festival’s core identity and bring the key messages to targeted audiences through social media and advertising.

Co-founder and COO of Sage Communications David Gorodetski said, “Sage is honored to help the National Cherry Blossom Festival celebrate this significant milestone in its history, and to springboard into the next 100 years.”

President of the National Cherry Blossom Festival Diana Mayhew said, “The National Cherry Blossom Festival has a tremendous opportunity to honor the once-in-a-lifetime occasion with a five week tribute that people will enjoy from across the world.”
