    The Fishing School

SAVE THE DATE: On Saturday, October 1st from 6 p.m. to 10 The Fishing School will hold its annual Gone Fishin’ event at The Nationals Park in Washington, DC. The event is family friendly and helps support young people to continue learning with The Fishing School’s academic out-of-school time programs.

The event will include hors d’oeuvres at the PNC Diamond Club, Southern Style BBQ in the Lexus President’s Club, behind the scenes venue tours, nationals players batting cages with professional pitchers and cocktails in the dugouts with former players. For children, The Fishing School has created a Kidz Zone in the visiting players locker room. It will include a flip-book photo station, caricature artist, face painter, tattoo artist, crafts, batting cage, Wii and more.

Event organizer Terry Lineberger said, “I think sometimes we take for granted this culture of abundance that we are raising our children in here in the DC Metro Area. Yet there are children right next door that don’t live with such abundance, in fact, hardly the bare necessities.  Education is the great equalizer for these children and The Fishing School is very serious about it’s mission to offer these children a brighter future through educational and enrichment programs.  I want to be a part of that.”

The Fishing School created a special family package – $500 for 2 adults / 2 kids (bet ages of 6-16). For more information, rates and details you can visit- www.fishingschool.org.
