William Hoover, President and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS

AMERICAN SYSTEMS was named a winner of the Northern Virginia Family Services (NVFS) 2011 Companies As Responsive Employers (CARE) Award, which recognizes businesses that are leaders in providing family-friendly benefits to aid employees in establishing a work-life balance.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is a leading provider of federal IT and engineering solutions. The organization was won for clearly demonstrating its commitment to providing a workplace that accommodates working families and improves the work-life balance for its employee-owners.

“We are thrilled by this recognition, which highlights AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ dedication to cultivating a positive corporate culture,” said William C. Hoover, President and CEO of AMERICAN SYSTEMS. “We believe that our people are the most valuable asset and strive to provide the care, support and flexibility our employee-owners need.”

Developed in 1992 by NVFS and business leaders, the CARE Awards were created to make a positive change in the workplace, especially in the Northern Virginia region. These awards were designed to support businesses to establish family-friendly programs by showing them ideas and thoughtful discussions with other business leaders who already embraced similar initiatives. The recipients were chosen by a nominating committee based on an evaluation of corporate policies and programs, a company tour and employee interviews.

AMERICAN SYSTEMS will receive its official award on November 17, 2011 at the Fairview Marriott in Falls Church, Va.
