The Fairfax County Chambers of Commerce is hosting a “Women in Business” Signature Program dinner and networking event Friday, October 7th. NBC TODAY Show distinguished broadcast journalist and New York Times bestseller of the book, Hoda: How I Survived War Zones, Bad Hair, Cancer, and Kathie Lee, Hoda Kotb, will be the event’s keynote speaker, held at the McLean Hilton in Tysons Corner, Virginia.

Ms. Kotb will discuss her struggle and triumph of publicly announcing her fight with breast cancer in 2007 as well as her career as an international journalist, including her work in the Middle East and coverage of the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina.

“It is an honor for the Chamber to host Ms. Kotb here in Northern Virginia – where she spent many of her childhood years – for this insightful program. Her vast personal and career experiences will undoubtedly provide meaningful takeaways for all attendees,” said Fairfax Chamber President and CEO, Jim Corcoran.

The month of October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month.

More information and registration for the event can be found on the Fairfax Chamber’s website.
