ManTech International Corporation has appointed a new Senior Vice President and Group Deputy for Systems Engineering and Advanced Technology (SEAT): Deborah Thurman. Thurman, who formerly served at ManTech’s corporate office as Senior Vice President of Contracts, brings more than 25 years of experience in challenging and competitive markets. She was responsible for all contracts related to functional areas company-wide. In her new position, Thurman will assist the SEAT Group President by overseeing program development and business unit performance goals.

“Debbie brings strong leadership skills to her new role at ManTech,” said Terry Ryan, President and COO of ManTech’s SEAT group. “ManTech puts a premium on the skills of our nation’s veterans and I know that her time at ManTech and service in the United States Air Force will enable her to create immense value for ManTech’s SEAT group and its customers.”

Before joining ManTech, Thurman served in the United States Air Force for more than 24 years. She provided support to various weapons systems programs including the B-52, F-16 and Tri-Service Standoff Attack Missile. Thurman served in Vietnam as well. Her last assignment for the Air Force was as a contracting officer at the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO) where she researched and developed operational systems before retiring in 1997.

“This is an exciting time for ManTech, and I am proud to be a part of the important work that we do for our customers,” Thurman said. “ManTech is committed to providing the highest quality of services to support our national security. I know that the road ahead is filled with new opportunities for ManTech to grow through our innovative systems engineering and advanced technology, and I look forward to serving in new areas of the company.”
