Last week, Alliance Micro appointed Brian Bills as the company’s Business Development Executive. Alliance Micro is a SDVOSB and value-added reseller of leading information technology products and services to business and the government. Bills will lead Alliance Micro in developing and executing a comprehensive strategy to increase revenues along the government sector across federal, state and local agencies. He will expand the government client base, manage and nurture new accounts to maximize their full potentials, and concentrate on IT opportunities regarding Data Center Solutions.
“Brian brings tremendous fire power in government sales to Alliance Micro,” said David Whelan, CEO of Alliance Micro. “He thoroughly understands the government environment surrounding data center needs – both from the inside as a procurement manager as well as from the outside as a private sector sales executive for the leading brands in the power industry. We are proud to attract someone of his caliber, with his impressive credentials in all aspects of data center technology and with such an amazing track record of successful new business awards year after year.”
As the company’s Business Development Executive, Bills is in charge of identifying federal agencies with requirements for repairing or consolidating its data centers. This involves upgrading data center infrastructure, power and cooling; refreshing data center servers; enhancing data center modernization through new monitoring equipment and tools; and expanding data center footprints with fiber optic cable and hardware.
Prior to joining Alliance Micro, Bills was the Business Development Manager for Government Channels at Emerson Network/Power Liebert. He was responsible for new contract awards with several different government agencies, including a $568 million contract with the United States Air Force to replace an Uninterruptable Power System (UPS). Bills also brings experience in selling and procuring government-oriented data center solutions.
“Alliance Micro, with its well-established, long-term relationships with the key players in computing, power, and IT infrastructure, is poised to become a significant data center solution provider,” Bills said. “My familiarity with widespread government needs in this area coupled with my background and proficiency in closing new government contracts, makes this career opportunity especially exciting for me. I am enthusiastic about my role as a catalyst for new business and working with the Alliance team to drive exponential growth over the coming years.”
