Maryland Technologies Development Corp. (TEDCO), a group of organizations and schools, announced that it will be hosting The 2011 Entrepreneur Expo: Harnessing the Power of Innovation in Maryland on Monday, November 14, 2011 at the BWI Airport Marriott in Linthicum Heights, Md. The daylong event will begin at 7:30 a.m. and last until 6:00 p.m.

Session topics include mentoring/advising, technology transfer and commercialization, and financing and special business. An “Entrepreneurial Launch Pad” will feature an area where businesses can pitch their products and services for potential investments. The top three companies with the most audience voters will win cash prizes.

The Expo will also feature a Marketplace or Exhibit Hall where various host exhibitors will stage sessions for interactive programming all throughout the day. Along with the Marketplace, there will be a Meet Your Mentor Networking Session that will feature more than 50 potential mentors from various industries available to help guide attendees through the entrepreneurial maze to success.

The Expo will be the first large event focused on the promotion and celebration of Maryland’s innovation economy and entrepreneurs. The Entrepreneur Expo Leadership Team (EELT) is the coordinating committee for the event, which is led by TEDCO and other key stakeholders.
