    SAVE THE DATE: SECAF To Host 2012 Opportunity Landscape For Government

    SAVE THE DATE: SECAF is hosting the 2012 Opportunity Landscape for Government network briefing next Thursday, September 8, 2011. Networking and check-in begin at 7:30 a.m.

    The event will feature Paul Murphy, Senior Data Analyst at Bloomberg, who will discuss geographic trends, agency trends and other business trends. Murphy will also speak regarding the various set asides for small businesses such as 8A, STARS, Disabled VETS, and Women Owned Businesses. Whether or not GSA’s Alliance is generating small business revenue set out in its objectives will also be a topic.

    Deltek Input’s Senior Vice President of Research & Analysis Services Kevin Plexico will also speak at the conference regarding the budget outlook for 2012 and beyond, including discussing the status of 2012 appropriations and longer term debt reduction activities and its likely impact on government contracting. Plexico will also address broader initiatives across civilian and defense agencies where vendors are likely to continue to find growth opportunities even amidst the budget environment.

    Fran Craig, CEO of Unanet Technologies, will moderate the event. Tickets are $35 for members and $65 for non-members in advance and $45/$75 at the door, space permitting.
