Paul Leslie, CEO of Dovèl Technologies

Last week, Ken Smith was appointed as Dovèl Technologies’ Senior Vice President of Business Development & Proposal Management and Sharon Palmeter was named Vice President of Human Resources & Recruiting. Dovèl also promoted Kimberly Zurliene to Vice President of the Enterprise Solutions business sector.

With nearly 25 years of experience in the information technology industry, Smith is responsible for Dovèl’s designing, implementing and managing best practices to aid Dovèl’s rapid growth. Before joining Dovèl, Smith provided senior leadership and handled daily operations of the BD organization at Apptis, Inc. and Apogen Technologies. Smith is also a veteran of the U.S. Navy. He studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Memphis.

Palmeter, who has worked in the HR and recruiting industry for over 20 years, developed creative retention and recruiting programs for many businesses to support the company’s revenue and workplace goals. Palmeter will be leading all aspects of the employee lifecycle at Dovèl – from recruiting and hiring to training to development to handling the benefits. Prior to joining Dovèl, Palmeter worked at QinetiQ as the Federal Contractor’s Director of Talent Acquisition for the Mission Solutions Group. A member of the Society of Human Resources (SHRM) and Women in Technology (WIT), Palmeter also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Radford University.

“Business Development and Recruiting are critical areas for companies in the government technology space. They truly work in tandem, you cannot put together successful bids without the right people on staff and you cannot get staff to come on board without projects that are complex and interesting,” commented Paul Leslie, CEO Dovèl. “Ken and Sharon are both perfectly suited to get the processes in place to make sure we match up our employees with key opportunities to keep them challenged and growing.  I am very excited to have them join the team.”

Newly promoted Vice President Zurliene will be in charge of overseeing Dovèl’s current work at the Department of Defense, Federal Aviation Administration, U.S. Census Bureau and the Department of Education. She previously served as a Program Director at Dovèl.

Dovèl provides high-end software and application development to government clients and is recognized industry leader in Service Oriented Architecture (SOA).
