Akula was listed as a finalist for Washington D.C.’s 2002 Entrepreneur of the Year award and was the recipient of the ASEs NCC Entrepreneur of the Year Award in 2003.
Scott Amey, who is the current president and CEO, will step down to take the role of Chairman of the Board for Amyx. Since Amey joined Amyx in 2008, the company has doubled its revenue and number of employees. Amyx has also won many awards as being one of the country’s fastest growing private companies by Inc. Magazine.
