K-12 STEM Symposium Video: Fairfax Collegiate Summer Program

SWSarah Wallen|1 min read|November 21, 2016

Fairfax Collegiate is an academic program that meets summer camp and summer school in the middle. It focuses on exposing students to additional experiences they wouldn’t typically have in the classroom. At the 2016 K-12 STEM Symposium, the organization exposed students to a variety of STEM-related activities, such as programming games, robotics competitions and 3-D printers.

As the largest summer program provider in Northern Virginia, Fairfax Collegiate hosts 2,000-3,000 students each summer session. Its programs are targeted toward rising third through ninth graders, and each class is two weeks long.

The Annual K-12 STEM Symposium will be held March 25, 2017 in Herndon, Virginia. The largest K-12 STEM Symposium in the National Capital Region is a free, all-day forum that equally engages local parents, educators and children. Sign up by visiting www.stemsymposium.com.  Sponsorships are still available.
