WashingtonExec’s newest group Patriots in Federal IT launched in February 2015 with a networking event.

Patriots in Federal IT, established by George Mason University, launched in February with it’s first happy hour event at Maggiano’s in Tysons Corner, Va.

The group provides an opportunity for GMU undergrad and graduate students, who currently work in the GovCon IT industry, to mix, mingle and get to know one another. The purpose of the group is to foster collaboration and networking among those in the government and contracting sphere.  The event was sponsored by the George Mason University’s School of Business and boasted more than 30 attendees.

GMU’s School of Business is ranked by U.S. News & World Report in the top 10 percent of all AACSB accredited business schools, the School of Business is one of only 25 percent of business schools accredited in both business and accounting by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) International.
