Accenture Federal Services and Vius, LLC have been approved by the U.S. Department of Homeland Security (DHS) to participate in the department’s Mentor/Protégé Program, which encourages private-sector relationships and expands DHS’s efforts to identify and respond to the developmental needs of veteran-owned businesses.

“This is an exciting opportunity to develop a strong relationship between the companies that will result in great service to customers,” said Patrick Kernan, Vius Managing Member. “We are looking forward to growing our relationship with Accenture and providing continued superior service to our clients.”

As a mentor, Accenture will work with Vius, a service-disabled, veteran-owned, small business, on a multi-year development plan to include marketing, prime-contract management and program execution. Specifically, mentors will be providing technical and management assistance, financial assistance in the form of equity investments and/or loans, subcontract support, and prime contracts assistance by working through joint-venture arrangements with veteran-owned firms.

Accenture is a global management consulting and technology services company that has more than 259,000 people serving clients in more than 120 countries.

“Veterans bring a unique perspective to the work of protecting our country’s citizens, both here and abroad,” said Rocky Thurston, a leader of Accenture work at DHS. “We look forward to learning from Vius while sharing our experience and understanding of the federal marketplace.”
