STG to Provide Development, Modernization and Enhancement Support to Department of State

STG Inc. has been awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement with the Department of State’s Bureau of Consular Affairs to provide Development, Modernization, and Enhancement (DME) support. The 5-year contract, with 1 base year and 4 option years, will coordinate applications development from concept to launch.

Mark Jendzejec, STG SVP, Civil Agencies Sector said, “STG will provide high-caliber IT services to deliver end-to-end software engineering capabilities for the development and modernization of mission critical consular applications.  This is a key strategic contract win for us.  With a core competency in software engineering, STG will provide the State Department with unparalleled solutions to streamline and innovate its passport, visa, and overseas citizen applications.”

Simon Lee, STG President and CEO said, “STG has 25 years of proven performance with the State Department and has been an important partner in accomplishing various missions.  We will work to provide low-risk, innovative solutions that reduce cost, modernize systems, and establish new and emerging technologies.”

STG will be using CMMI, Agile software development, service-oriented architecture (SOA), enterprise architecture, ITIL-rated personnel, and ISO-certified processes to meet agreement qualifications.
