Following Mark Cohn’s death, Unisys Corp. has announced a research fund to honor the late chief technology officer’s legacy.

Created by the Professional Services Council Foundation, the Mark L. Cohn Research Fund will promote innovation in cybersecurity and emerging technology research. It will offer researchers the opportunity to submit proposals to get funding for technology research programs.

Cohn died July 14 at age 66. He worked for Unisys for 34 years, most recently serving as CTO and leading the company’s transition into next-generation cybersecurity techniques.

Venkatapathi “PV” Puvvada, president of Unisys Federal, described Cohn as a “true patriot who dedicated his career to securing our country and its IT infrastructure.”
