QinetiQ North America was awarded a $3 billion contract to provide Land Mobile Radio and Voice Over Internet Protocol network maintenance and support to the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

The DHS Tactical Communications and Services contract has a two-year base and three one-year options for installation, operations and maintenance of tactical communication systems to federal agencies and 22 bureau directorates.

“QinetiQ North America has deep domain expertise in tactical communications solutions and extensive experience supporting the mission-critical needs of DHS,” said QinetiQ North America’s Mission and Information Solutions business unit Executive Vice President John Sutton. “We look forward to meeting the mission-critical tactical communications requirements of DHS as they expand their communications capabilities across the country.”

The DHS sponsored contract is accessible to other federal civilian agencies, including the Departments of Justice and the Interior, the State Department and the White House Communications Agency.
QinetiQ North America is one of 11 primes in the Operations and Maintenance Services Unrestricted category (Technical Category 4).
