Recently, Vistronix Inc. announced that its President and CEO, Deepak Hathiramani, was selected to serve on the Advisory Council of the George Mason University (GMU) Volgenau School of Engineering.
Established in 1985, GMU’s Volgenau School was the first engineering school in the United States to focus primarily on information technology and math-based engineering as opposed to the traditional physical, material-based engineering approach. Today, the School offers 6 Ph.D. degrees, 14 Masters degrees, and 8 B.S.C. degrees in programs that cover the full range of IT-related disciplines.
“The GMU Volgenau School plays a key role in driving innovation in leading edge technology fields and educating the work force of tomorrow,” said Hathiramani. “I am pleased to add to the Advisory Council’s significant knowledge and expertise in our efforts to build on the School’s academic leadership in a broad range of IT and
engineering disciplines. These disciplines are vital to the region’s continuing success.”
