Altamira announced its Lumify platform—a big data fusion, analysis and visualization tool—is now available in the Amazon Web Services Marketplace.
Amazon services allow for greater flexibility and usability of Lumify, which aims to empower actionable intelligence through the swift analysis of vast amounts of information, according to Altamira.
Lumify, which visually links data points through tools like graph visualizations, full-text faceted search, dynamic histograms, and interactive geospatial views, has been used by intelligence analysts to make quick and informed decisions on national security matters, the company said.
“By making Lumify available on AWS, we’ve simplified the delivery and operation of our prime big data fusion, analytic and visualization solution,” said Jonathan Moneymaker, executive vice president and chief strategy officer for Altamira. “Accessibility through the Amazon Marketplace empowers our customers to begin solving their most challenging analytic problems immediately.”
Customers have the option to use Lumify as is in its virtual machine, or to take advantage of native Amazon services for the underlying infrastructure, according to Altamira.
Lumify has also been configured to use the Amazon Rekognition image analysis service, which allows images with recognized entities to be quickly added to the Lumify knowledge base. Amazon Rekognition enhances the visual search and discovery capabilities of Lumify, enabling faster identification and visualization of critical relationships, Altamira said.
