The Northern Virginia chapter of the Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association (AFCEA) on Friday recognized an ARRAY Information Technology, Inc. (ARRAY) employee for her service and dedication to the AFCEA chapter and community.

Chi-Lai Poon, an ARRAY business and marketing analyst, received the SuperNOVA Volunteer of the Month Award at a monthly chapter luncheon Friday afternoon for demonstrating above average chapter volunteer service and for setting the example for other volunteers to follow, according to a press statement released Friday by ARRAY.

AFCEA is a nonprofit membership association established to bring together industry and government. The group serves the military, government, academia and industry by aiming to advance professional relationships and knowledge in communication, intelligence, security and information technology.

Poon earlier received the Golden Eagle Award for her service to the same chapter,  which includes 7,200 individuals and is the largest chapter of AFCEA.

“We are once again very proud of Chi-Lai for the outstanding work she is doing with AFCEA,” ARRAY President Sumeet Shrivastava said in the press release.  “Chi-Lai is an important part of the ARRAY family and we are very lucky to have such a hard working, dedicated, and well respected member of the community to represent ARRAY.”

ARRAY is an IT firm that specializes in services to the Defense, Scientific and National Security sectors.
