2021 Chief Officer Award Winner: Private Company CFO Jake Kennedy, Amentum

Jake Kennedy, chief financial officer at Amentum, has won WashingtonExec’s 2021 Chief Officer Award for Private Company CFO.

In its second year, the Chief Officer Awards luncheon was held May 27 as a virtual live-streamed program to recognize C-suite executives in both industry and government for their innovation, expertise, impact and thought leadership.

Prior to Amentum, Kennedy was senior vice president of finance at AECOM Management Services and was the URS FS federal acquisition regulation compliance director and the financial controller. Before URS Corp., Kennedy served as the director of accounting at Litton-PRC, Inc., responsible for financial reporting and transaction accounting. He joined Amentum in February 2020.

Kennedy has his bachelor’s degree in accounting from Villanova University and an MBA from the University of Mary­land’s Robert H. Smith School of Business. He is a Certified Public Accountant in the state of Maryland and is a CFA charter holder.
