Professional Services Council President and CEO Stan Soloway has been honored as GCN’s IT Industry Executive of the Year. He will accept the honor tonight at the 26th Annual GCN Awards ceremony.

“This recognition of Stan’s leadership on a wide range of business policy and acquisition issues is well deserved,” said Dr. John Hillen, PSC chairman. “It also reflects how PSC, under Stan’s leadership, has led the way on many key federal policy priorities affecting both government and industry, from IT and broader acquisition reform, to budget and sequestration challenges, sourcing policy and more.”

The 26th Annual GCN Awards honor federal, state and local government teams for their extraordinary IT accomplishments and significant contributions to the performance of their agencies. In addition, GCN honors one industry and one government executive for their leadership on IT issues across the public sector and presents a career achievement award. Acting IRS Commissioner Danny Werfel is this year’s Government IT Executive of the Year and Robert Childs of the National Defense University will receive GCN’s Hall of Fame award.
