Cybersecurity, DevSecOps and cloud services provider VariQ has been awarded a contract with the Department of Homeland Security’s Student and Exchange Visitor Information System, or SEVIS.

This contract is for operations and maintenance of the SEVIS program, which is established within Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“We are pleased to have been selected to support the SEVIS program, which provides a critical tool for national security, while supporting the legal entry of the more than one million non-immigrants that come to the United States for education and cultural exchange purposes,” said VariQ CEO Ben Edson.

An internet-based application, SEVIS facilitates timely electronic reporting and monitoring of international students and exchange visitors and their dependents in the U.S. It enables schools and exchange programs to transmit electronic information to DHS and the State Department throughout a student’s or exchange visitor program in the U.S.
