U.S. Air Force Awards $85 Million Fighter Test Services Contract to AMERICAN SYSTEMS

Chantilly, Va.-based AMERICAN SYSTEMS has been awarded a five year, $85 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract by the U.S. Air Force Operational Test and Evaluation Center for Fighter Test Services.

Peter Smith, AMERICAN SYSTEMS’ President and CEO stated, “AMERICAN SYSTEMS is proud to continue to provide Operational Test support for the largest DoD acquisition program in history, supporting test planning, execution, and reporting for three U.S. services and nine partner national that will operate the F-35 Lightning II, as well as the front line USAF Air Superiority Fighter – the F-22A. It is an honor to support the mission of our Armed Forces and our allies through our contributions to the next generation of fighter aircraft.”

AMERICAN SYSTEMS will be providing operational test and evaluation services related to fourth- and fifth-generation fighter acquisition programs covering a broad range of technical and analytical operational test services. The majority of this work will be done primarily at Edwards Air Force Base in California and Nellis Air Force Base in Nevada. There will also be secondary locations supported across the country.
