Serco Inc. has been awarded three new task orders under the U.S. Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command Global Installation contract vehicle with a total value of $16.4 million.

As part of the task orders, Serco will install command, control, communications, computer, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems on a guided-missile cruiser, an amphibious transport dock ship and a Los Angeles-class submarine.

Serco’s work, which will be done in San Diego and Hawaii, includes removing the current systems, modifying structures necessary, installing 21 different C4ISR systems and providing testing support. The C4ISR systems include the Consolidated Afloat Network Enterprise System and the Navy Multiband Terminal.

But this isn’t Serco’s first round of work with the Navy — the technology and management services provider has been supporting Naval ship modernization services since 2001 and is excited to grow its services under these three new task orders.

“Our team put together a solution that tapped into our extensive past performance thereby helping our Navy provide the latest technology to our fleet,” said Serco Chairman and CEO Dave Dacquino.

According to the company, Serco has done more than 1,000 integrated installations on ships and at shore facilities around the world, providing the Navy with the C4ISR systems it needs.
