Parsons Corp. has secured a $13 million task order from the National Nuclear Security Administration to deliver counter-nuclear smuggling systems in the Indo-Pacific region.

The task order, awarded under the Counter Nuclear Smuggling System Deployment multiple-award contract, includes a 1-year base period and six 1-year options. It is new work for the company.

This is the fifth task order Parsons has received from NNSA’s Office of Nuclear Smuggling Detection and Deterrence. The company will provide project management, engineering, system design, deployment and logistics support to 18 countries.

“Parsons is trusted by the federal government to deliver on large-scale programs and critical technology solutions that advance national security, both at home and abroad,” said Jon Moretta, president of engineered systems for Parsons. “We remain committed to furthering U.S. nonproliferation and nuclear security goals by equipping international partners with capabilities to detect, disrupt, and interdict the illicit trafficking of radioactive and nuclear materials, contributing to a safer, more secure nation.”

NNSA in March 2024 selected Parsons as one of two contractors on the $1 billion ceiling-value contract. The company’s work with NNSA also includes the Enterprise Construction Management Services contract.

The award expands Parsons’ Indo-Pacific portfolio, where it delivers infrastructure and security solutions and leverages engineering and technology expertise to bolster U.S. and allied deterrence and regional stability.
