Medical Science and Computing, a Dovel company, has been awarded a position on the National Institutes of Health National Heart, Lung and Blood Institute’s Professional, Scientific and Administrative Support Services 5-year, $50 million blanket purchase agreement.

Under the contract, MSC will provide scientific and administrative services across the 12 basic and clinical research centers and branches within the NHLBI Division of Intramural Research. The division’s research is broad, encompasses investigations into molecular, cellular and organ-level biology and their relationship to disease, and ultimately leads to a better understanding of biology and clinical pathology.

Plus, the Division of Intramural Research has coupled its basic science foundation with innovative technology development and clinical research at the NIH Clinical Center and in partnership with local hospitals.

Dovel CEO Damon Griggs said the company is honored to be a long-standing NIH partner, and to continue its relationship supporting NHLBI’s scientific and clinical research.

“We are committed to serving NIH’s mission through implementation of innovative approaches for streamlining and disseminating research efforts, enhancing knowledge sharing, and improving public health,” he said.
