Dayton, Ohio-headquartered MacAulay-Brown Inc. (MacB) announced Oct. 26 that the company has been awarded a Source Multiple Integrated Radio Frequency (SMIRF) contract by the U.S. Air Force (USAF). The IDIQ award has a five-year period of performance with a total value of $24 million.

“We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the Air Force and its research laboratories throughout the country,” MacB’s Advanced Technology Group Senior Vice President and General Manager Tim Lawrence said. “The groundbreaking research and advanced development programs conducted at AFRL ensure that our operational forces have the global situational awareness needed to meet current and future threats.”

MacB will provide advanced spectrum warfare research to USAF through the RF Systems Branch of the Air Force Research Laboratory (AFRL) at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base in Ohio. Areas of work include passive and active RF systems research and development; simulation, test and evaluation activities; integrated sensor system studies; hardware and software solutions for various manned and unmanned air vehicles; and system engineering studies.
