LMI has won a 2-year contract worth $3.2 million with the Defense Logistics Agency Military Unique Sustainment Technology Program to support research and development for the DLA troop support clothing and textiles supply chain.

As part of this work, LMI will help the MUST Program evaluate and improve logistics processes to mitigate manufacturing challenges and improve supply chain functionality. The MUST Program promotes manufacturing and logistics improvements for DLA Troop Support C&T issues.

“With nearly 30 years of support to DLA’s R&D programs, we are thrilled to further LMI’s extensive experience in this field to address the complexities of the DLA Troop Support C&T supply chain,” said Jon Baba, senior vice president of LMI’s defense market.

LMI has supported the DLA Troop Support C&T supply chain since 1995.

”I am proud of the value-added services, innovation, and technical thought leadership that our team provides to DLA,” Baba added.

LMI’s support with this contract will build on past work benefiting DLA supply chain management and reducing manufacturing problems. This project will increase accessibility and visibility of requirements data, improve product quality, enable easier updates to technical data, shorten lead times, promote more cost-efficient operations, and reduce inventory stockouts, the company said.
