Leidos has won a $205 million contract to modernize IT systems for the Defense Threat Reduction Agency to help the agency operate faster, smarter and with stronger defenses against global threats.

The company will support the agency’s shift to a zero trust cybersecurity model, use AI to automate operations and build a secure, resilient hybrid cloud environment.

“This work expands our long-standing relationship with DTRA and will help raise the bar for our support of their essential mission capabilities,” said Bryan Jolly, Leidos senior vice president, digital modernization sector. “Leidos will seek to empower DTRA with data-driven operations, designed to create a modern, secure and efficient enterprise.”

The 5-year DTRA Integrated Information Technology Support Services contract expands Leidos’ footprint within the Defense Department’s Fourth Estate — agencies that provide critical support to military operations. It also gives Leidos a runway to deliver proven tech and repeatable solutions across the department, faster and at scale, the company said.
