Engility Holdings, Inc. has won a spot as a prime contractor on the Defense Department’s Join Enterprise – Omnibus Program to support the Pentagon’s chemical and biological defense programs.

The multiple-award indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract has a five-year period of performance with a 1-year option and another 6-month option. All told, the contract has a potential value of $249 million.

Under the contract, Engility will assist the Joint Program Executive Office for Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear Defense as total life cycle systems manager.

Engility said it will bid on task orders to provide professional, logistics and medical solutions.

“We are very proud to have Engility’s recognized medical and logistics experts contribute to this vital program that provides mission support to JPEO-CBRND,” said Lynn Dugle, Engility’s CEO, chairman and president. “We are honored by the opportunity to contribute to the DOD mission in the critical CBRN arena.”
