The Naval Information Warfare Center Atlantic has chosen Core4ce to lead its Defense Health Infrastructure and Application Engineering contract.

Under the contract, Core4ce will provide enterprise health IT expertise in network security, infrastructure modernization and systems engineering.

“Core4ce is committed to building long-term relationships with our customers, and this award marks a continuation of our partnership with NIWC Atlantic as we work to transform the way DoD keeps sensitive medical data and networks secure,” said Core4ce CEO Jack Wilmer.

Core4ce will also support entities that require connectivity and integration into the Medical Community of Interest network that Navy Medicine and the Defense Health Agency own and operate.

“Our team has a strong record of accomplishment defending against a broad spectrum of security threats, and we look forward to continuing to support NIWC’s mission,” Wilmer said.

The Defense Health Infrastructure and Application Engineering award was preceded by two complementary NIWC awards in 2021. NIWC previously awarded a $171 million Defense Health Enterprise Application and Desktop Virtualization Support contract to Core4ce.

That award included working with DHA to ensure health care providers can access essential medical applications from anywhere. NIWC also selected Core4ce to lead its $129 million Defense Health Information Technology Engineering contract, which focuses on building and protecting server systems for military treatment facilities.

“With the addition of a third major NIWC contract since last year, Core4ce has firmly established itself as a leader in defense health cybersecurity and engineering, providing critical support to protect networks, systems, and cloud applications across the DoD medical community,” Wilmer said.
