AT&T announced May 11 that the company is the sole awardee of a Defense Information Systems Agency contract worth up to $74.6 million over five years, if all options are exercised.

“We’re proud to provide communications services to help defend our country,” AT&T Global Business – Public Sector Solutions President Kay Kapoor said. “When the mission is vital and national security is at stake, our nation’s leaders count on the AT&T network.”

AT&T will provide long-haul telecommunications and related transmission circuits that support the government’s restricted-use, ultra-high frequency communications platform between select Dept. of Defense aircraft and ground stations across the continental U.S. and around the world.
