Akima announced Aug. 3 its subsidiary RiverTech has been awarded a $17 million task order to provide sustainment support services to the Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command over the next five years.
The command provides Army and Joint Forces commanders to 82% of the Defense Department’s civil affairs forces and 83% of its psychological operations forces.
Civil affairs and psychological operations soldiers combine regional and trans-regional expertise, political-military awareness and cross-cultural communication skills to conduct and support civil-military operations for both conventional and special operations forces.
Under the task order, RiverTech will provide various sustainment support services to help improve and standardize business processes and workflows. Support will include asset visibility and property book, maintenance, supply operations and transportation support services at 90 sites across the country.
