Recently, Serco Inc announced that they have been awarded an ID/IQ contract to provide services to the U.S. Navy Space and Naval Warfare Systems Command (SPAWAR).  The Company is one of nine awardees on the contract.  The re-competed contract vehicle has a ceiling value of $34 million for Serco over five years, which includes a one-year base period and four one-year option periods, if all option years are exercised.

Serco will support SPAWAR through the complete lifecycle of solutions for Command, Control, Communication, Computers and Intelligence (C4I) programs.  The Company will compete on task orders to provide test and evaluation (T&E) engineering, independent verification and validation (IV&V) services, software quality assurance (QA) support, and configuration management support.  Serco’s work will help streamline the engineering process and shorten the Navy’s timeframe from software development to installation.

Vice President of Serco’s Engineering Business Unit  Kent Brown said, “We have been supporting SPAWAR and their predecessor engineering programs since 1989. Serco looks forward to continuing our work with the Navy, and this contract reconfirms our commitment to their mission.”
