ARRAY Information Technology and Houston, Tx.-headquartered Gimmal are teaming up to aid the federal government in its records management, the Greenbelt, Md.-based company announced last week.

The partnership leverages Gimmal’s Microsoft SharePoint records management offering to meet Federal standards for records management compliance, information lifecycle and collaboration systems.

“With this new partnership, Federal agencies will be able to acquire the solution and leverage ARRAY’s SharePoint, records management and project management experts for their implementation,” ARRAY wrote in a press statement.

The application, which would reside on premise with the potential of later being moved to the cloud, is slated to allow defense and civilian organizations to eliminate redundant systems, automate compliance and reduce risk.

Marty Heinrich, the records and information management director at ARRAY, said the partnership will change the way the federal government handles records management. “By automating records management functions and enabling agencies to focus less on administrative processes, they can focus more on carrying out their mission.” Heinrich said.

The company in April procured a task order to sustain U.S. Air Force (USAF) financial systems to the Air Force Materiel Command (HQ AFMC)  headquartered at Wright-Patterson Air. Read about the win here.
